WHY THIS WORKS
The frontier is unusually transparent — most of it is downloadable by anyone.
Every live feature here runs on public data. The maps pull NASA's GIBS imagery and Earthdata science layers; the launch and crew feeds come from the open Launch Library; element and material figures trace to NIST and peer-reviewed sources. Little of what's decoded here is proprietary — the point is that you can go check the original.
And the firehose is widening. NASA's new NISAR radar alone released over 100,000 data products in early 2026, and open catalogs now index satellites, launches, spacecraft and crews in near real time. This archive is the map to those primary sources.
