2026 is the year humanoids left the demo reel. Tesla Optimus Gen 3 (hand production-ready Feb 2026) carries 20 kg per arm, deadlifts 68 kg, and packs a 22-DoF hand with all 25 actuators moved into the forearm; 1,000+ run in Tesla's own factories against an unproven 1M/yr target. Figure 03 (44 DoF, 16-DoF hands, a 2.3 kWh structural battery, 5-hour runtime and 2 kW wireless foot-charging) surpassed 10,000 planned deployments and its BotQ line targets 12,000 units/yr. Agility's Digit already works paid warehouse shifts. Unitree's sub-$20k G1 is collapsing the price floor. The open question is no longer walking — it's a full, reliable shift.
